I got a little lost in the resource calculations discussion (on the Limits to Growth link), but the point is made, and the spectre of a sizeable amount of dark matter is definitely unsettling.

Equally so is the apparent difficulty in getting the message through the veil of ignorance and denial. My working assumption, however, is that there is a potential for eConsciousness (latent perhaps) in every individual, but that the key to unlocking it is to get through those filters using a different kind of message framing and delivery.

It was encouraging to see Joel Makower's recent post referencing the work being done by ecoAmerica. Believe me, if messages were as carefully researched, crafted, and delivered as they are for such important consumer products as, say, potato chips, we could start seeing things happen.

Time to get to work, I'd say.

Larry Grob
theunlikelyactivist.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861605.post-1162942667738494402006-11-07T18:37:00.000-05:002006-11-07T18:37:00.000-05:00I'm not sure what the solution is on a national an...I'm not sure what the solution is on a national and international scale. Of course, having a US administration that acknowledges global warming and leads in efforts to confront the problem is obviously a formidable step in the right direction. If we had Al Gore run again and win, I'd say we'd have the ideal situation. Even virtually any Democrat if better than nothing or a progressive Republican which currently remains an oxymoron. Private enterprise and local efforts still remain are best bet.The Flip Flop Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13827717317803289992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861605.post-1162937740063234322006-11-07T17:15:00.000-05:002006-11-07T17:15:00.000-05:00Great article!
